DUnaMoT paves the way for sustainable, cross-border tourism mobility in Bavaria-Tyrol by promoting cross-border information systems and ticketing solutions.
DUnaMoT aims to strengthen sustainable mobility in tourism through digital solutions - especially in the Bavaria-Tyrol border region. The focus is on the question of which cross-border information services, fares and tickets have potential and how they should be designed.
Tourist mobility should be made simple, understandable and sustainable right from the vacation planning stage - across national borders. The potential of cross-border mobility, information about it and tickets for it will be discussed with stakeholders from mobility, tourism and administration.
Sustainable tourism needs simple, attractive alternatives to the car. DUnaMoT creates the digital conditions for this - through better visibility, comprehensibility and usability of climate-friendly mobility offers in the Alpine region.
DUnaMoT aims to promote sustainable, cross-border mobility in tourism with the help of digital solutions in the Euregio Inntal (Bavaria - Tyrol). The focus is on two central levers:
The DUnaMoT project is initially investigating which digital information services, tickets and tariffs are available for tourist mobility in the Bavaria-Tyrol border region. To this end, existing websites, apps, real-time data and the digital bookability of tickets are being analyzed. Successful examples from other border regions are also included. A local tourist survey provides insights into which information sources are actually used, which needs exist and which obstacles stand in the way of sustainable mobility use. In addition, a data set on route requests will be evaluated in order to draw conclusions about the demand for tourist mobility.
These findings will be used to derive possible courses of action - for example, to design cross-border ticket offers, to improve the provision of information and to further develop public transport. The results will be discussed and further developed in workshops with stakeholders from tourism, mobility and administration, and concrete solutions will be developed. The project will conclude with a public event at which the project results will be presented and impetus provided for practical application.
Special benefits arise from the cross-border consideration of tourist mobility.
