MoxyByte EXIST_GS

The Secure Ultra Low Power IoT Device (SULPI) complete solution offers a comprehensive IoT solution consisting of SULPI hardware, SULPI software and MoxyByte cloud. It is designed for the highest security standards, maintainability and expandability and can be adapted to specific customer requirements.

Project background

The Secure Ultra Low Power IoT Device (SULPI), is a secure, modular & ultra-low-power solution for IoT applications. It consists of several interchangeable modules, each of which specific functions such as Wi-Fi, 5G connection, Bluetooth or sensor data processing. This allows the board to be easily adapted to different requirements and use cases. The modularity of the SULPI consists on the one hand of a modular hardware system at Printed Circuit Board (PCB) level on the one hand and modular software on the other, which can be combined with an app store to create a customer-specific IoT solution. is combined.

Together with the MoxyByte cloud for configuring and updating the IoT devices in the field IoT devices in the field, the result is a comprehensive end-to-end product offering that is also tailored to customer-specific requirements. The MoxyByte cloud offers not only a secure and flexible platform for processing and storing data from the SULPI from the SULPI, but also has a modular structure. This not only shortens the time-to-market, but also enables integration into almost any existing system.

Project objective

In summary the SULPI complete solution offers the following advantages for the customer:

    • Up to 10 years of operation without changing batteries or mains operation
    • Easy integration into existing systems/processes thanks to modularity
    • Safe and and automated updates without manual effort & Quantum-safe
    • Data exchange via mobile radio standards (in accordance with certifications)
    • Cloud-agnostic monitoring of collected/incoming data
    • Anomaly detection using artificial intelligence
    • Tamper detection

Project procedure

The SULPI is developed in several steps in order to create a high-quality high-quality product product. In the first step, a model with a reduced functionality is implemented, to test the hardware and software components. An important goal here is to to achieve as much automation as possible through the use of various tools, decoupling and modularization at hardware and software level. This simplifies the development process and creates the basis for a long-lasting product. This allows the SULPI for special use cases, such as the monitoring of shaft systems, the manipulation of temperature manipulation of temperature sensors or the reading of meters, can be optimized.

Innovation

Due to the stricter requirements for cyber cyber security in the course of the IT-SiG 2.0 Act result for companies, especially KRITIS operators operators and companies in the special public interest, from May 1, 2023 binding requirements (see Section 8a (1a1)) for the implementation of an attack detection system.

These regulations affect, for example, manufacturers of cable ducts (ROMOLD) and their their customers, which is a unique opportunity for the SULPI to enter the market. With the help of the SULPI, the high requirements for long uptime, safety and connectivity and connectivity can be easily implemented even in remote areas.
