Determining the needs and requirements of regional SMEs with regard to transformation processes (sustainability, circular economy, artificial intelligence, etc.)
The needs and potential study serves to promote the foundations for the development of knowledge transfer between the regional economy and universities. The continuous development of technology transfer from science will support the necessary transformation processes of local companies and maintain the competitiveness of the regional economy. Particular attention will be paid to SMEs in the Inn-Salzach region.
The study is intended to help develop offers to support regional SMEs in the districts of Altötting and Mühldorf a. Inn with the following challenges:
- Greening the economy in terms of greenhouse neutrality, the associated energy transition and resource conservation, for example through the circular economy.
- Investing in new, environmentally friendly technologies
- Introducing more environmentally friendly, cost-effective and healthier forms of mobility
- Decarbonizing the energy sector and increasing the energy efficiency of buildings or increasing costs due to the so-called CO2 tax.
- Digital transformation in production, logistics and communication processes in almost all commercial and economic sectors
Needs and potential study on the support requirements of SMEs in the area of transformation processes (greenhouse gas neutrality, circular economy, digitization) including a survey of suitable instruments. The project is divided into two project phases in which three sub-studies are carried out. In the first phase of the project, qualitative expert interviews will be conducted and analyzed using qualitative content analysis with Maxqda. The interviews will be conducted with representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the Bavarian chemical delta (sub-study 1) and the social economy in Mühldorf (sub-study 2).
On the basis of the preliminary study, items for a subsequent quantitative online survey will be derived and an online questionnaire developed.
